Prices are in US$ per passenger, include taxes and are commissionable by Tour Agents. Children aged five to 12 pay 65% of the rate. Groups of more than 10 passengers have a 5% discount. All rates are subject to change without previous notice.

Services: Reception at Puerto Maldonado airport. Land and river transport to and from the Explorer’s Inn. Accommodation in twin-bed rooms with private bath. Full board (continental breakfast plus two meals per day). Programmed tours as described guided by our staff of official Peruvian tour guides. At meals, English-speaking Resident Naturalists (RNs) are available for consulting. Due to the remote location of the lodge, RNs may, on rare occasions, be unavailable. In these circumstances, Peruvian Safaris may not be held responsible nor will it be cause for a claim or partial refund.
Luggage: Due to limited space in our dugout canoes, only one (1) medium-sized case or rucksack is allowed per passenger. Excess baggage can be left in our Puerto Maldonado office.
Booking and Payments: In order to guarantee a reservation, wemust receive a 35% deposit at least 90 days in advance and the remaing 65% 30 days before arrival. If the reservation is made 180 or more days in advance, the initial deposit might be 10% at moment of booking plus another 25% sent not later than 90 days and the final payment 30 days before arrival. Payments can be made by credit card, personal cheque, cashier’s cheque or wire transfer.
Cancellations and Refunds: Refund of deposit less US$ 10 per passenger for handling fees will be made for cancellations at least 60 days before arrival. Thereafter, until 15 days before arrival refund is less US$ 25 per passenger. No refund will be made for either cancellation or less than 15 days before scheduled arrival date or no show.
Flight In Or Out Cancellations: If your flight in to Puerto Maldonado is being cancelled at the last minute we will offer you to move your tour reservation at the lodge by one or more days than originally booked. If you can show us a plane ticket or tour programme which does not allow you to take advantage of this offer we will return you 50% of what you paid for the tour minus expenses incurred by us. If your flight out of Puerto Maldonado is cancelled and time allows, we will offer you at 50% of its price an Additional Night at the Explorer´s Inn but if you chose to stay in town any expenses incurred by you until you leave will be fully on your own account.
Rooming List: A passenger list with full name, citizenship, age and passport number should be sent to our booking office at least 30 days or as soon as possible before arrival date.
Single Rooms: Space is limited at the Explorer’s Inn for which reason we can provide for groups no more than one single room with bathroom for every five double rooms with bathroom.
Tour Conductors: Their board, lodging and transport are complimentary throughout our tour packages. We allow one Tour Conductor free in a shared DWB for every 15 paying passengers. Please consult with us for groups larger than 31.
Cold Storage Facilities For Baby Food Or Snacks: Can be obtained within reasonable limits of volume and in coordination with the manager of the lodge.
Park Entrance Fees: Park entrance fees are not included in our prices and must be paid by the guests separately. They are 30 Soles PAX (approx. US$ 10) for visitors to the Explorer’s Inn not travelling to the macaw clay lick or 65 Soles PAX (approx. US$ 20) for visitors who do go to the macaw clay lick.
Responsibility: Peruvian Safaris S.A., the owner of the Explorer’s Inn, while exercising every possible precaution, will not assume responsibility for any damages, injuries, losses, or additional expenses due to delays or any cause whatsoever, whether to a person or property in connection with any service resulting directly or indirectly from force majeure.
Peruvian Safaris S.A. reserves the right to modify or withdraw any tour arrangements when deemed necessary in the best interest of the client. The right is reserved also to accept or refuse any person as a member of the tour.
